November 16 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
November 16, 2024, Saturday,
Cloudcroft/Mayhill Loop
Pack a jacket, chaps, and a lunch as we head up to the Sacramento Mountains to an elevation of 6700 ft. This is the ride to call in sick for. May be that last ride up there before old man winter arrives up there, if has not already arrived by then.
Meeting at the Speedway at US54/McCombs at 0730, KSU at 0800.
All Non-HOG Members & Minors must complete an event release form.
Stopping in Alamogordo at the IHOP for fuel and breakfast, then on to Cloudcroft. Cloudcroft” is an old English word meaning covered or shrouded in clouds. Then on to Mayhill, Dunken, Pinion, Weed and loop back to Mayhill NM, which is a small town with a population of only 500 people, and is known for being an incredibly peaceful place to live. The people of Mayhill are friendly and welcoming, and the scenery is stunningly beautiful with rolling hills and tall trees. We will stop for a lunch at the Mayhill cafe, or you can Brown Bag it at the store. Come ride with us and see the beautiful scenery before it is covered in snow. Then it is back down the hill to Alamogordo and El Paso. Should be a full day of riding
