Route: Taos NM, Hwy 518 to Las Vegas NM, (80 miles), I-25 to US 84 south, straight on 291 to Hwy US 54 to Vaughn (84 miles) to Carazozo (80 miles) to Maverick Travel Center, Alamogordo (60 miles) Last stop, to El Paso 88 miles (end of ride is Edge of Texas) 

 Welcome all bikers and fans to the annual Dennis Hopper Day celebration in Taos. Dennis Hopper made Taos his home & made several movies here. 

Dennis Hopper Day is an annual celebration held on May 17th (his birthday) in Taos, New Mexico, to honor the life, art, and counterculture legacy of the Easy Rider actor and director. Proclaimed by local and state officials, the event features a motorcycle “Easy Rider Ride,” film screenings, and a memorial gathering at his gravesite.
